It all began in 1980, when founders
Michel and Widad Chalhoub opened
the first Tanagra store in Kuwait.

Tanagra

was named so as an endearment to Madame Widad, lovingly given as her nickname. Originally found in Ancient Greece, Tanagra is the name of terracotta figurines, depicting beautiful ladies of high birth and status originating from the city of Tanagra. Embodying these graceful sculptures, Tanagra depicts timeless beauty and a rich legacy of heritage.

Today, Tanagra has 10 stores across the UAE, Qatar, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia, each one designed to offer an inviting space and truly unique experience. Tanagra resonates far beyond the home, fulfilling a declaration to celebrating our most precious bonds every day.

Marina Mall store opens in Abu Dhabi.

First Tanagra store opens in Dubai.

2023

Royal Atlantis welcomes a Tanagra store in Dubai.
